We’ve Got You Covered

Site Preparation and Foundation

We’ll manage your municipal paving project from start to finish, including the prep-work to ensure that your pavement will retain its integrity for the long term: clearing, grubbing, grading & sloping, compacting, sub-base and base layer installations, and removal of existing pavement surfaces.

Installation of New Asphalt & Concrete

Poor quality work during the prep or installation stages of the paving process results in a shorter pavement lifespan and higher repair costs – so be sure to partner with an experienced and highly rated paving company such as Murphree Paving.

Milling and Grinding

Milling is the process of removing the top layer of asphalt to a specified depth without disturbing the underlying sub-base. Milling allows new asphalt to be laid without changing the original height of the pavement so curbs and drainage structures are not disturbed.

If the structural integrity of the pavement is sound, ravelling, bleeding, rutting, shoving, upheavals, and some other types of asphalt deterioration may be solved by milling the pavement surface.

The overlay process involves the application of a new layer of bitumen to your existing asphalt surface to restore a smooth texture and improve its overall aesthetic. Milling or grinding of the deteriorated surface may be necessary prior to overlay application.

If your existing asphalt pavement is deteriorated but still maintains its structural integrity, an asphalt overlay – or resurface – may be a cost-effective alternative to removal and replacement.

Potholes, Patching, Crack & Joint Sealing

Repairing damage as it occurs can greatly extend the life of your pavement.

Asphalt patching, pothole filling, crack sealing and joint sealing, are cost effective alternatives to replacement as long as the underlying structural integrity is intact and aesthetic appeal is not your top priority.

Sealing (Sealcoating)

Asphalt and concrete are both porous, meaning that water will penetrate the surface if it is left unsealed.

Under normal circumstances of wear and tear, asphalt paving should be resealed every 3 - 5 years, while concrete surfaces may require re-sealing every 5 - 10 years, depending on the type of sealant used, amount of traffic, and weather conditions.

Our quality sealants and expert application beautify and extend the life of your pavement by protecting it from premature cracking, crumbling, and other costly repairs.

Marking, Striping & ADA Compliance

Is your parking lot ADA compliant?

Does current striping maximize capacity without hindering traffic flow, entry and egress?

Are existing markings crisp and bright—easily visible without “shadows” from previous marking layouts?

Contact us today about an assessment of your pavement’s current status and a quote for fresh, compliant marking and striping.
